A man was arrested after a video of the attack was sent to Calhoun County authorities

CALHOUN COUNTY, Alabama (WBMA) — An Anniston man has been arrested after authorities say a woman was assaulted.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said Austin Cochran, 24, was charged with violation of a protective order and second-degree domestic violence.

The sheriff’s office said it obtained video of the incident, and Cochran was identified as the suspect. The victim on the video was also found.

The sheriff’s office said it worked with District Attorney Lynn Hammond to revoke Cochran’s bond in a previous domestic violence case, ensuring he remains in custody.
