Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz planned a 2025 wedding before their divorce

Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz were planning to leave by the end of next year until their relationship came to an abrupt end last week.

The couple — first linked in 2021 — broke off their engagement last weekend, but just a few months ago, the Big Little Lies actress’ father, Lenny Kravitz, was dishing out details about their 2025 nuptials.

Lenny Kravitz loved Channing Tatum like a son:

The American Woman rocker, 60, was close with his daughter’s fiance and regularly talked about their romance, but made one fatal mistake when he made their wedding plans public.

“He’s a really great guy,” Lenny told the British radio show “Zoe Ball and Friends” on Channing in May. “He was well brought up. So he has manners. He is charming. He is a soulful person. And that’s why he quickly became part of the family.

During the interview, the frontman also let slip that Zoe and the Magic Mike actor were planning to get married.

Lenny continued to show love to Channing, saying, “He comes over and they’re in love. There will be a wedding next year.”

Lenny Kravitz was not going to perform on his daughter’s special day:

Despite his excitement, the “Fly Away” singer revealed that he will not be taking the stage to serenade the wedding guests.

When asked if he would be performing or DJing at the reception, Lenny said, “I don’t think so. (I’ll) just hang out.”

Zoe Kravitz laughed at her dad’s comments:

After Lenny released the wedding details, his daughter went into damage control mode and backed away from the 2025 date.

Speaking to Esquire for an interview published in August, the reporter noted that Zoey rolled her eyes “in mock annoyance” when they mentioned her father’s comments.

“That’s literally what we said in passing,” she said told the publication. “I might have said, ‘Next year will be cool.’

However, the wedding plans collapsed after a few months.

What caused Channing and Zoe to break up?

Channing and Zoe allegedly broke up “last weekend”, ending their three-year relationship after only being engaged for a year.

“They weren’t on the same page and parted ways,” the insider said People.

Another source claimed that wedding planning was putting too much pressure on their relationship.

“Wedding plans were looming, but none of them were rushing to the altar,” said a source close to Tatum. Us Weekly on Wednesday

“Zoe is a very independent person. After the divorce, she said that she does not necessarily want to get married again,” they explained.

Is Blink Twice to blame?

The insider also claimed that their romance “turned sour” after the press tour for Zoe’s directorial debut Blink Twice, which stars Channing.

“She and Channing are opposites, but they’ve always shared a love of art and film, and that’s what kept them together. They realized it wasn’t going to work out in the long run,” the insider said, adding that Channing is a “family man” and “very involved with his daughter” and that Zoe’s priority is “her career.”

“They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they might not be a good fit,” the source said. “There’s still a lot of love between them and (the split) was amicable.”

In 2009, he married Jenny Dewan. In April 2018, the couple announced their divorce, but did not complete them divorce until last month. They have one child: daughter Everly, 11 years old.

In 2019, Zoe said “I do” to actor Carl Glusman, but filed for divorce 18 months later.

While neither Channing nor Zoe have commented on the split, the Big Little Lies actress has already ditched her engagement ring. In photos obtained by The Post taken on Wednesday, Zoe was spotted out for the first time since her split — and she was missing one notable accessory.
