In the video, Karan asked Kriti, “What about the envy, the competition or the jealousy sometimes in your contemporaries, how do you know, is there a feeling of, ‘I need to do this, look over my shoulder’ and do better than her (Alia)?” And do better than everyone else and perform as an actor? Responding to Karan, Kriti said, “Of course I feel it drives me. It inspires me to do better. When I see great work,” Karan chimed in, saying, “Like Gangubai.” Kriti continued, “Yeah, and you also feel you know, I wish I had that opportunity. I wish I had something because I feel Mimi as an opportunity, when it came to me, it gave me so much confidence to put so much into this film.”
