Boyfriend suspected of murdering entertainer at luxury Hamptons spa found dead

A day later, the police found the body Sabina Rosas at a luxury Long Island spa, authorities discovered the body of her boyfriend, who police suspect killed Rosas before taking his own life.

Investigators found the body of 56-year-old Thomas Gannon, the man suspected of killing Rosas, at his home in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to PEOPLE.

Thomas was Rosas boyfriend, ABC 7 This is reported with reference to unnamed sources.

Rosas, 33, was found dead by an employee at the Water Mill, N.Y., resort on Monday, Oct. 28, the Suffolk County Police Department said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

Police responded to Shou Sugi Ban House in the afternoon and found Rosas’ body with signs indicating she had been a “victim of abuse,” authorities said in a statement.

Rozas was a native of Tajikistan, according to a local weekly The East Hampton Star.

She was also surnamed Horramdel, CBS News, NBC New York and The East Hampton Star reported

An art magazine focused on Central Asia Ruyo magazineco-founded by Rosas, announced her death Wednesday in an Instagram post.

“Driven by her incredible energy and vision, Sabina moved the walls so that the gardens could flourish, inviting all who seek the light. She shared everything she had and supported all of us,” reads part of the statement.

“A beautiful soul and a talented artist, she left an impressive legacy in the art of Central Asia,” the statement continued.

In a statement, her family called her “Sabina Horramdel” and mourned the loss of their “beloved daughter, sister, fiancée and friend,” according to NBC New York.

Her mentor at State University of New York-Purchase said she was an “extremely creative and gifted painter/artist.” This is reported by CBS News.

According to A. Shou Sugi Ban House is a destination spa in the Hamptons Vogue spa guide.

The luxury spa has earned a Goop review praising its “three acres of lush Hampton woods.”

Shou Sugi Ban House did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Suffolk County police say Gannon died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but have not yet released how Rosas died or a motive for the killing.
