When Sean “Diddy” Combs posted an apology after personnel release about him attacking Cassie Ventura, Chaka Khan’s daughter responded. Commenting on Indira Milini Khan’s post, she said that she is happy to see Diddy face the consequences. Indira spoke in detail about the moment he shouted in her mother’s face at the event.

“I’m glad this is happening to you, you got in my mother’s face and publicly disrespected her screaming and yelling like a crazy person,” Indira wrote, per Entertainment Tonight. “(When my little brother tried to pry you from my mother’s face, your bodyguard jumped on my 19 year old brother(.) (T)his may be your dark days but I sing and dance watching you die @chakakhan isn’t great mom.”

As Khan’s son, Damien Holland, is now 45, the alleged incident took place in the late 1990s.

In response to her daughter’s comment, Khan made a statement for People. She did not go into details about the alleged incident with Diddy. Instead, she talked about how violence and abuse can affect people.

“In these troubling times, I am reminded that the energy of violence and abuse can take many forms, affecting individuals and communities around the world,” she said. “As someone who has faced personal lessons, I believe in the power of meditation, prayer and inner peace to bring light and hope into our lives and the world around us. We can solve most problems, prevent negativity and cultivate compassion by looking for ourselves.”

She added that she hopes to see people working towards a more peaceful and loving world.

“Let’s take responsibility for our actions, strive to be better, and support those who are hurting,” she continued. “May we as people find strength in grace and wisdom as we move toward a more loving and just world.”

He is currently awaiting trial in a New York jail

In 2024, police arrested Diddy on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. he remains without the right of pledge at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. As reported, the prison has notoriously poor living conditions. Other ex-prisoners include R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell, who once spoke about their time there.
