Slitterhead details characters, combat skills, SPEUs, systems, and Splitterheads

Get the details below.

■ Characters

Blake

The commander of the “SPEU”, organized to counter the threat of Slitterheads. An elite with experience in the Marine Corps, he makes decisive and sometimes ruthless decisions to achieve his goals.

Betty

An elderly wealthy woman lives in a mansion with a panoramic view of the city from the hillside. She has leg problems and always carries a cane, a memory from her late husband. She looks like she’s been waiting for Hyoki to come out in front of her, greeting him with cryptic messages.

Lisa

Lisa with a troubled past is the only nurse working in Alex’s illegal clinic. She knows that Alex disappears at night hunting Slitterheads and worries about him.

■ Blake’s skills

Blood Shot (Active)

Generates a machine gun from blood to attack the enemy. Holding down the skill button will allow you to fire continuously, but this will lower your health significantly.

Blood mine (active)

Turns pools of blood into landmines within a given area. When enemies step on them, they explode and deal critical damage.

Blood Gamble (General)

Attack the enemy with a gun in blood. Hold the skill button for continuous fire. The power of each shot increases, but if you’re unlucky, it can misfire and damage you.

■ Betty’s skills

Unbreakable (Active)

Temporarily greatly increases Betty’s defenses and makes her more difficult to stun. Damage bonus for hitting an enemy mid-attack.

Devilish (active)

Turns pools of blood into blades within a given area in front of him to deal damage to enemies. Damage increases if you hit multiple enemies at once.

Monthtick (common)

Implants thoughts in the host to constantly attack nearby enemies. Even if possession is canceled, attacks will continue until the effect ends.

■ SPEU

”SPEU” was created in response to the growing threat from the Slitterheads. While their primary focus is on exterminating these creatures, their mission has expanded to include any unknown threats, meaning that people who appear to be “possessed” are also blacklisted.

Some members hold shields that can almost completely prevent frontal attacks, as well as “silence” staff that can temporarily seal the crafting of bloody weapons and the use of skills. They act as formidable enemies against Hyoki.

■ Fragments of memory

During research you can find “memory fragments”. Lost memories or goals will return, and some abilities can even be restored.

■ Shrines

“Shrines” are located in places around the city. You must accept the challenge. Although the enemies inside are formidable, you will be rewarded if you pass the challenge. You can see if a shrine is in a mission in the mission menu, so bring the most reliable rares.

■ Change costumes

You can change Rarity’s costume and mask in the break menu. Although you can collect them throughout the game, it will be difficult to acquire them all.

■ The unmatched power of Slitterheads

In the shadows and hustle and bustle of Cowlong lurks a mysterious creature known as the Slitterhead, monstrous creatures that prey on human brains. In contrast, the spiritual entity known as Hyoki exists solely to eliminate each Slitterhead. As the struggle unfolds, the secrets of this world will be revealed, intertwining the fates of both humans and creatures in a narrative that gradually reveals the complexity of humanity itself.

Slitterheads are mysterious creatures that lurk in Kowloon and pose a threat to civilization. After consuming the human brain, they simulate the head and animate the corpse to disguise themselves as humans.

When preying on humans, they assume “puppet form”, a grotesque image replacing the human head, extending tentacles to target the victim’s brain. Slitterheads receive memory and genetic information from the human brain, allowing them to mimic personalities. The behavior of each Slitterhead is different: from aimlessly wandering the streets to manipulating people at the center of large organizations.

— The shape of a doll

When the human body they inhabit is damaged, they move on to the body of a new victim. However, they cannot work independently or for a long time away from the host.

When they sense danger, they absorb the host’s bodily fluids to grow into a “full form”, revealing their true nature and greatly increasing their power. They have integrated genes from various mimetic organisms, including insects, fish and molluscs, resulting in a variety of appearances. Although they mostly assume a praying mantis-like posture, they can change their form depending on the situation, standing upright on two legs or crawling across gaps like a spider.
