1 dead in west Phoenix; a police investigation is underway

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — A large police investigation is underway in a west Phoenix neighborhood after at least one person was killed overnight.

Details are limited, but Phoenix police responded to a call about a shooting just before 2 a.m near 47th Avenue and McDowell Road.

One person could be seen dead at the scene when Arizona’s family arrived.

The scene remains very active as police try to find a motive for the man’s murder.

Currently, the police are only blocking local roads near the scene.
