WASHINGTON, DC — A southeast D.C. neighborhood was gripped by a shooting Sunday afternoon that left one man injured and police searching for a vehicle captured on surveillance video near the scene.

The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 27 when officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Savannah Street SE after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an adult male who had been shot but was conscious and breathing. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Footage of the vehicle involved in the shooting was captured by a nearby surveillance camera, although authorities have not released details about the make or model of the vehicle. The video, released now, is part of the department’s efforts to track down those involved in the incident.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
