Kalutara, January 3 (Daily Mirror) – Former Millania Pradesh Sabha (PS) member Ravindra Navamuni has been arrested for posting on social media a post that insulted National Peoples Power (NPP) Member of Parliament Neelanti Kottahachchi.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested Navamuni at his Batagoda residence this morning.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged with the CID regarding misinformation being spread on social media about the Kottahacchi MP.

The complaint, filed by lawyer Namal Rajapakse on behalf of the Kottahachchi MP, alleged that the SLPP activist had spread false information against the MP by making false claims that she had visited a hotel with him for money.
