‘Dirty Game’: Did AP Dhillon just criticize Diljit Dosanjh? The Canadian rapper says the sold-out shows are a marketing tactic

AP Dhillon spoke about the issue of ticket overselling during his appearance on The Ranveer Show, touching on the controversy that sparked discussions on social networks. The singer slammed the growing trend of concerts, including Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour, reportedly selling out in seconds, calling it a “dirty game” that unfairly affects fans.

AP Dhillon says claims that shows sell out in seconds are often misleading because tickets are pre-sold to promoters who later sell them at higher prices. During a YouTube podcast, he expresses concern that fans have no choice but to buy tickets at inflated prices.

He believes that this is disrespectful to the fans. He notes that while many artists use this practice as a marketing tactic, he has personally decided against it.

“For any show that claims to sell out, I can still get you 2,000 tickets today or tomorrow. People treat music as a business game, which has deprived it of joy,” said the Canadian rapper in an interview.

While the AP didn’t directly name any specific artist, it does stress that artists with a higher level of fame should avoid this tactic, as it ultimately hurts their relationships with fans. He adds that people will eventually understand how to manipulate the system. He urged artistes to prioritize their fans over short-term profits.

AP Dhillon feud with Diljit Dosanjh rumours

The comments drew attention amid rumors of AP’s feud with Diljit Dosanjh. The Dil-Luminati tour, which kicked off in Gurgaon in October, has reportedly created a massive fan frenzy with tickets selling out in no time.

However, during the concert, Diljit addressed the issue, claiming that he has no control over ticket sales and that his fan base is the result of years of hard work on his music.

Tensions escalated when AP Dhillon mentioned during a concert in Chandigarh that Diljit allegedly blocked him on Instagram. The remark sparked widespread speculation about a rift between the two. In response, Diljit shared an Instagram story denying the claim, clarifying that he has no issues with fellow artistes.
