Who made Varun Dhawan jealous? Guess the colleague!

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan recently admitted that he felt jealous of his co-star Siddharth Malgotra during the shooting of their debut film. Student of the year (2012). In a candid chat with Shubhankar Mishra, Varun revealed his insecurities about being overshadowed by Siddharth, whom he described as “tall, broad and handsome”.

Varun admitted that he was afraid that the audience would only focus on his co-star and said: “Mujhe notice bhi karenge ya nahi? Mera dream jo hai, dream reh jayega (Will people even notice me? My dream will remain a dream).” He also shared that the negativity associated with nepotism at the time added to his difficulties.

Violation of perception by hard work

The actor talked about the fact that public perception was not always in his favor. Despite being the son of veteran director David Dhawan, Varun said his success is the result of his relentless efforts. “The reception was not always prosperous. I fought a lot and I will continue to do the same.” he said.

Varun further explained that through his consistent work and acting, he has been able to change the narrative around him. Addressing allegations of nepotism, he acknowledged that his father had given him the job later in his career, but added, “No matter how much I explain, people will feel differently.”

What’s next for Varun Dhawan?

On the professional front, Varun has a portfolio of projects. His upcoming romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumaristarring Janhvi Kapoor, will be released on April 18, 2025. Other projects include Border 2, Hai Javani To Ishq Hona Hai, Entry is prohibited 2and Bhedia 2.

Varun Dhawan continues to carve a niche for himself, proving that hard work and determination can overcome insecurities and challenges.
