Simpsons Meets Monday Night Football, Virgin River Duo Reteam, and more

Monday night football comes to Springfield.

The Simpsons Funday Football, animated MNF The game, which takes place in real-time in the world of the Fox comedy, will be broadcast live on Monday, December 9 at 8:00 PM ET on Disney+, ESPN+ and on NFL+ mobile devices.

“With the Springfield Atoms Stadium, Simpsons Funday Football will be a true family affair as Bart Simpson teams up with Joe Burroughs and the Bengals, and Homer teams up with Dak Prescott and the Cowboys,” the official release said. “For most of the game, Bart and Homer will let their new Bengals and Cowboys teammates lead the way, but the iconic father-son duo won’t be sitting on the sidelines for the entire game. Each will select key opportunities to play in offense and/or defense, replacing a player and joining his other 10 teammates on the field.”

Additionally, cast members Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith will voice several characters in pre-recorded segments and skits.
