AAP alleges cash-for-vote scam in Kejriwal constituency to lodge complaint against BJP

Amid a tense war ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, the AAP plans to file a police complaint against the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of using the power of money to influence voters. AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday alleged that the BJP is distributing money to voters by verifying their voter ID cards in the New Delhi Assembly constituency from which Arvind Kejriwal is contesting.

“Today, Parvesh Verma was caught distributing money at his official residence, which he got as a Member of Parliament. Women from different slums in different areas of the New Delhi constituency were called there and given Rs 1,100 in an envelope,” claimed Atishi.

“I want to inform the Directorate of Law Enforcement and CBI that cash worth crores of rupees is still lying in Parvesh Verma’s house, go now. The Election Commission should compel ED and Delhi Police to search the official residence of Pravesh Verma and arrest him properly. now,” she continued.

She said the BJP was trying to win a “lost election”. She also said that the pamphlet in which the money was distributed had pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda. She said AAP would file a complaint with the police and also write to the Election Commission in this regard.
