Rachel Ray opened by her marriage dynamic with husband John Cusimano on a recent episode of her podcast, I will sleep when I die.

In the second episode of the pod, which aired on Tuesday, October 29, her guest was actor Billy Crudup. During the discussion, Ray, 56, said that she and Cusimano, also 56, sometimes need space from each other.

“I’m insanely, insanely lucky to have my husband. But he understands that I need my space. He needs his space. John and I mostly live in different corners,” Rae admitted to Crudup and her listeners.

These new details about their relationship came just a week after the podcast premiere episode On October 22, De Rey revealed that she and Cusimano “argue all the time” and that she thinks it’s “healthy”. In the same episode, she explained that despite their frequent arguments, they found ways to reconcile. “I end up petting him on his ** or he kisses me on the head and that’s it. This is an apology. This is simply understandable. “I still like your **.” “I still like your head.” It’s like being in that zone,” Ray explained.

The famous chef and Cusimano first met at a friend’s birthday party in 2001. They married on September 24, 2005, in Montalcino, Tuscany, and for nearly 20 years of marriage, they chose not to have children. Both said they often split their time between their home in Lake Lucerne, N.Y., and the Italian countryside.
