Sean Combs accused of sexually assaulting 10- and 17-year-old boys

Sean “Diddy” Combs was accused in separate lawsuits of sexually abusing two boys, one who was 10 at the time and the other 17. The plaintiffs allege the abuse occurred in 2005 and 2008, respectively.

The civil lawsuits filed Monday in New York State Supreme Court join more than two dozen others accusing the militant music mogul sexual harassment. The Supreme Court is the court of first instance in the state of New York.

Attorneys for the two plaintiffs, who both filed their claims anonymously, include Tony Busby and Andrew Van Arsdale, who said they represent more than 100 people who have claims against Combs. Buzbee filed more than a dozen lawsuits against Combs.

“We will continue to file cases each week naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare documents,” Buzby said in a statement after the latest lawsuits were filed.

Both plaintiffs in the two lawsuits filed Monday live in California and are seeking a jury trial.

In response, Combs’ attorneys accused Buzby, a Texas personal injury attorney who held a press conference this month inviting new clients, of seeking publicity. Busby’s press conference was held in front of a banner with a 1-800 number in large red letters, which he urged people to call if they wanted to file a claim.

Houston attorney Tony Busby holds a news conference in his office announcing more than 100 separate cases he is pursuing against Sean Diddy Combs, in Houston, Oct. 1.

“The attorney behind this lawsuit is interested in media attention rather than the truth, as is evident from his constant appearances in the press and at the 1-800 number,” the statement said. “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs can’t respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to statements that are ridiculous or patently false. Mr. Combs and his legal team have complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the legal process. In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never sexually abused or trafficked anyone, male or female, adult or minor.”

combs did not admit his guilt on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. he was denied bail and is in custody in a New York prison. His trial is scheduled to begin in May. Federal prosecutors say he forced men and women engage in sexual acts and silence victims through blackmail and violence. They also allege that Combs enlisted the help of his staff to aid in his criminal behavior. The indictment names one victim, but prosecutors say there were several.

According to the lawsuit, the man who claims Combs molested him when he was 10 years old, an actor and rapper, traveled with his parents from California to New York in 2005 and met with people in the music industry. A consultant his parents hired to help his “burgeoning career” set up an audition for him for Combs, who allegedly indicated he wanted to meet the child alone before meeting his parents, the complaint said. He rapped a few songs for Combs, and Combs told him he could make him a star and asked him what he would do to become one, to which the kid replied, “He would do anything,” according to the lawsuits Combs’ employee then gave the child soda and Combs forced him to perform oral sex on him, the lawsuit alleges.

The child lost consciousness, and when she woke up, her pants were unbuttoned and she felt pain, the statement says. Combs threatened to seriously injure the child’s parents if they told anyone about what happened, the lawsuit states. He immediately told his parents, who, like the child, were “scared of the potential consequences of reporting the abuse,” according to the complaint.

The plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer from severe depression, anxiety and feelings of hopelessness and fatigue, according to the complaint, which says he has had to be homeschooled because of behavioral problems that have affected his relationships. The lawsuit claims he was “deprived of a normal childhood” and is unable to interact with others and live a normal life.

Another complaint alleges that around 2008, the plaintiff, then 17, participated in a three-day audition for the MTV reality show “Making the Band,” which Combs produced and used to recruit bands. The teenager proceeded to the stage of the process where participants met in private rooms with Combs and his bodyguard, the lawsuit alleges. During a one-on-one with Combs, the lawsuit alleges, Combs ordered the 17-year-old to undress and groped and fondled his penis. The lawsuit alleges that Combs was masturbating while he groped the contestant and told him that he had the ability to “make or break” his career.

During the next meeting, the lawsuit alleges, Combs again ordered the member to strip to prove he could embody the “sex idol,” an alleged requirement for the group’s image. During that alleged encounter, Combs forced the teenager to perform oral sex on him and sodomized him, and allegedly repeated that he could control the plaintiff’s future in the music industry, according to the lawsuit.

On the third day, the lawsuit alleges, the teenager was forced to engage in oral sex with Combs’ bodyguard, identified in the lawsuit only as the letter “T,” during which Combs allegedly groped and fondled both the plaintiff and the bodyguard. After the contestant expressed discomfort and hesitation, Combs later removed him from the competition, claiming “he was not trustworthy,” the suit says. According to the statement, he could not return to the music industry for seven years.

In a previous interview with NBC News, Van Arsdale said most of the people who claim they were abused as minors say they met with Combs under the pretense of auditioning or helping them with their careers.

Combs settled just one of the many civil lawsuits filed against him over the past year. The lawsuit, filed by his former longtime girlfriend Cassie, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura and who is signed to his label, was filed in November and alleges that Combs physically and sexually abused her for years. The two agreed to what his lawyers described as an eight-figure sum, with Combs admitting no wrongdoing. His lawyers are contesting other claims.
