Man, three teenagers arrested after shooting on East Side

A 19-year-old man and three 13-year-old boys were arrested after shots were fired during a disturbance on the East Side Wednesday night, Madison police said.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving juveniles around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of East Washington Avenue.

They were said to have been chasing other children they knew from school, and during the altercation, a facsimile firearm was pulled and shots were fired, spokesman Corrie Rondorff said in a statement.

The shot did not hit people or property. The bullied children ran to a nearby store and called the police.

A 19-year-old boy and three 13-year-olds were arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct with a weapon, a 19-year-old also faces preliminary charges of retail theft and three counts of criminal bail, and two of the 13 Subjects also face charges in retail theft, the chief reported Sean Barnes on his blog.
