Two teenagers charged with attempted murder of 16-year-old ‘chased and slashed’ in Edinburgh

Two teenagers have been charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in Edinburgh.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was chased and attacked by a gang on Stenhouse Avenue West around 9pm on Sunday.

He was taken to the hospital, where he is now. His condition is currently unknown.

Two 17-year-old males have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear in court on Christmas Eve.

Police say they are continuing to follow up on further positive lines of inquiry.
