Did Allu Arjun ignore security protocols? The actor became emotional after shocking CCTV footage emerged

Some new CCTV footage from Sandhya Theater has shed light on the tragic stampede that took place at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rise earlier this month, which left a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, dead and several others injured.

One footage shows a chaotic scene as a large crowd rushes into the theater, ignoring the efforts of security personnel to control the situation. In one clip, a man can be seen using a wooden stick to stop the crowd’s advance, only to be pushed back by the surging masses. Despite efforts to maintain order, the frenzy resulted in a deadly stampede.

Also, another CCTV video has surfaced showing Allu Arjun being escorted out by his team after the premiere, allegedly after the stampede had already taken place.

While the investigation is on, Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been summoned to the Hyderabad police for questioning. Arjun, accompanied by his lawyer Ashok Reddy, faced about four hours of questioning about his role in the incident.

The police have raised several key issues in connection with the events that led to the tragedy.

According to sources, among the main questions was whether Allu Arjun had received prior permission from the theater management to visit Sandhya Theater for the premiere of Pushpa 2. The police also asked whether the actor or his PR team had received prior permission from the police to attend display

In addition, investigators asked about the number of security personnel, or bouncers, Allu had arranged for the event, and whether his PR team had informed the theater of the situation in advance. The questions are part of a wider investigation into whether adequate measures were taken to ensure the safety of the crowd at the event.

The incident, which occurred on December 4, sparked widespread outrage and concern over the organization of mass events during mass events. After the tragic stampede, a case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theater management in various units of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

On December 13, Arjun was arrested in connection with the case, but the Telangana High Court granted him four weeks’ interim bail later that day. He was released from prison on the morning of December 14.

After the tragedy, Allu Arjun announced a financial contribution of Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family, while the producers of Pushpa 2 gave a relief of Rs 50 lakh. The investigation is ongoing and Arjun may be called to the theater for further investigations.

The incident raised serious questions about crowd control at high-profile events, and authorities and the public wanted to know whether sufficient precautions had been taken to prevent such a tragic outcome.
