The popularity of the film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” and the legal problems of the director and actors are growing in parallel. Amidst the furor over the Hyderabad stampede case, another court case has emerged against the team of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. Congress MLC Chintapandu Naveen, popularly known as Teenmar Mallanna, has filed a complaint with the Rachakonda police against the actors, including Allu Arjun, the director, and the producers of Pushpa 2, alleging that the film has scenes that insult policemen.

Which scene in the film was unacceptable?

In his complaint, Naveen referred to specific scenes in the film and alleged that police officers are portrayed as corrupt. The complaint filed on Monday also said that the film has a scene where the hero urinates in a pool where an IPS officer is present, which is disrespectful to the police.

Mallanna argued that some of these scenes were humiliating and could lead to a loss of confidence in constitutional institutions.

The MLC urged the police to ensure that some scenes are deleted and action is taken against the actors, director and producers of Pushpa 2.

Arjun appears before the police in a theater stampede case

Meanwhile, Arjun on Tuesday appeared at the Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad for questioning in connection with the death of a woman in a stampede during the release of Pushpa 2 on December 4. The actor was issued a notice to report to the police at 11 a.m. today.

Security was beefed up at his residence and he waved to the crowd before walking to the police station.

Earlier, Allu Arjun said that he will cooperate with the investigation. The report comes a day after Police Commissioner CV Anand released a video showing the sequence of events at the theatre.

A 35-year-old woman died in a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on December 4, and her eight-year-old son was hospitalized. Following the incident, the city police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and theater management under various Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) units at Chikkadpally police station based on a complaint filed by the family of the deceased woman.

Allu Arjun, named accused number 11, was arrested by the city police in connection with the death of the woman on December 13. The Telangana High Court granted him a four-week interim bail on the same day and he was released from jail here on December 14 morning.
