JuJu Watkins begs an amazing celebrity to come watch her play

USC women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins is one of the biggest names in women’s basketball right now. She had a phenomenal freshman season last year, and she led the Trojans in scoring in the NCAA Tournament. Usually, the fans in attendance are amazed to see her when they come and watch a USC game. However, there is one person Watkins wants to see in the stands during the game: actress Sana Lathan.

Sana Lathan plays Monica Wright in Love and Basketball. She grew up in Los Angeles as Ju Ju Watkins and plays for the USC women’s basketball team as Watkins. Now, Watkins wants to get Lathan came out for the game.

JuJu Watkins: “You know what’s crazy, I just saw Sana Lathan at the Sparks game,” Watkins said during the episode Meeting hall. “I think she should come to the USC game, that would be crazy. As a “love and basketball” fan growing up, this is my favorite movie. I would be absolutely amazed if she came.”

Vinciane Ngosmsi: “She’s watching it.”

Ju Ju Watkins: “We have to do this, come on, please. The door is open to everyone.”

This would be a cool moment for Watkins, as Sana Lathan played a character that closely resembles Ju Ju Watkins and the journey she’s been on. She was at a Los Angeles Sparks game and Ngosmsi said she was watching the show. It wouldn’t be surprising if we saw Lathan at a USC women’s basketball game this year.

Watkins and the Trojans will soon begin their season, and everyone is anxious to see what Watkins’ second campaign will be like. She averaged just over 27 PPG as a true freshman and will once again be one of the best players in college basketball this year.

USC kicks off its season on Monday and has a big game right in front of the goal as they take on #20 Ole Miss. It will be a great experience for both teams as the game will be played in Paris, France.
