BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Broward County Police are searching for the person responsible for killing a Pompano Beach man. The Broward Sheriff’s Office shared this information with BocaNewsNow.com on Tuesday:

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide unit are searching for evidence in the murder of Eullice Hinnant III. Broward Crime Stoppers will pay up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s). The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 16. Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a shooting near Northwest Seventh Terrace and Northwest Sixth Street in Pompano Beach, investigators said.

BSO deputies responded and found Hinnant III on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue also responded and the victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Detectives from BSO’s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes Unit were notified of the investigation. On Thursday, Sept. 19, investigators learned that Hinnant III had died from his injuries, and the case was turned over to the BSO Homicide Unit.

The investigation is ongoing.
