Alex Sarr made history with the Washington Wizards

Alex Sarr made history with the Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are very excited about the future of rookie forward and number two Alex Sarr. While they know he needs time to develop, he’s already making a big impact on the defensive end of the court.

At 7-foot-0 and 205 pounds, Sarr has great size, length and athleticism. This will help make him a very lethal defender at the NBA level.

However, he is also only 19 years old and needs to be patient with him.

To begin his NBA career with the Wizards, Sarr has already made franchise history. As shared Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports NetworkSarr began his career with a franchise-record three consecutive games with more than two blocks.

Needless to say, this is a very positive sign for Washington. Sarr may not yet be a polished attacking player, but his defense is already very impressive.

After two losses at the beginning of the season, the Wizards were able to win Atlanta Hawks last night by a final score of 121-119 to improve to 1-2. The team hopes that this season they can be more competitive than last.

In order for the team to be more competitive and continue to make strides in their rebuild, Sarr will need to continue to develop.

While the team hopes to compete this year, they know the 2024-25 NBA season is more about player development and determining their direction. So far there are very positive signs that their development is going well.

Bub Carrington, another first round pick from this draft class, also had a big game last night. He scored 13 points off the bench and played a very important role.

Hopefully, Washington will continue to see Sarr and Carrington, along with the rest of the team, get better and better in the coming weeks. For Sarr, he is making a big impact in defense and now he just needs to continue to develop the attack.
