A car chase in Brooklyn Park ended in disaster

A car chase between police and a potential suspect ended after the driver crashed into two other vehicles.

The Brooklyn Park Police Department (BPPD) said officers were searching for a suspect in an attack Monday night when they came across a vehicle matching the description provided to them at 7:35 p.m.

Police said they were attempting to stop a vehicle near southbound Zane Avenue North when the suspect drove off.

The driver then hit two other cars before the car became uncontrollable and the two occupants fled.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, a woman, was arrested, but she was not the suspect they were seeking in the attack. However, she had an arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

The police did not say whether the passenger of the vehicle was detained. No one was injured in the accident.
