TPD has arrested the alleged shooter in a Sunday morning homicide in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Officers with TPD say they have arrested the person responsible for the man’s death early Sunday morning in Toledo.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, TPD reports that Zane Disher was shot in the 2500 block of Airport Hwy. around 3:45 a.m. he was transported to the nearest hospital by ambulance, where he later died of his injuries.

Nearly 36 hours after the shooting, police arrested 23-year-old Elijah Garza on two counts of murder and felonious assault. Police say he was identified as the shooter by multiple witnesses.

Garza was booked into the Lucas County Jail pending an arraignment scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29.
