A woman is accused of racial slurs after pushing a teenager in a Puyallup park

PUYALLUP, Wash.Police have arrested a woman after witnesses claimed she shouted racist slurs and hateful comments at various groups of teenagers on Puyallup park, telling many of them to “go back to your country”.

Appearing before the court on crutches, Jennifer Vincent declared her innocence on Monday afternoon. Last Friday, Vincent called 911 to report being attacked in Pioneer Park and asked for medical attention, according to police.

When police arrived, witnesses said it was Vincent, according to court records persecution of different groups teenagers in the park, including those taking photos for the Quinceañera.

Vincent allegedly told the groups to “go back to your country” several times before getting in the face of one of the teenagers and pushing him. The teenager pushed away, at which point Vincent called 911. Witnesses told police that Vincent told the teens she was going to arrest them and used terms like “beener” and the “N” word.

When officers arrived at the park, they said Vincent was uncooperative. She yelled, repeatedly interrupted officers, refused to answer questions and resisted arrest, according to court records.

Vincent stands in front of a hate crime – charges of malicious stalking, assault and resisting arrest.

“During the criminal history review, I have some concerns with the most recent charge filed by the Puyallup Municipal Court, which is similar to these recent charges, I believe some type of bond is appropriate. I will set bail at $10,000,” the judge said.

The judge also ordered that Vincent have no contact with witnesses or the alleged victim in the case.
