Ruben Amorim is set to more than triple his salary if he leaves Sporting and takes over Manchester United.

According to talkSPORTAmorim saves £2.15m a year in Portugal, equivalent to just over £40,000 a week.

But when the 39-year-old and his representatives held talks over the West Ham job in the summer, he was said to be demanding £7million a year, which works out to more than £130,000 a week.

The report adds that Amorim is likely to command an even higher wage at United given the resources they have at their disposal compared to the Hammers.

Ten Heg is said to have earned £6.75million a year during his time at the club.
