THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – Thomasville police are investigating after stray bullets damaged Harper Elementary School last weekend, according to police.

Thomasville City Schools also confirmed in a social media post Monday that an elementary school was vandalized over the weekend.

The incident happened Sunday after police said they received multiple calls about shots fired in the area of ​​Fletcher Street.

According to Google Maps, an elementary school is also located on Fletcher Street.

Officers responded and investigated the area, according to a Thomasville police news release Monday. However, no injuries or damage were reported at that time.

Harper Elementary School officials reported two windows damaged over the weekend, police said Monday. According to police, the damage is believed to be the result of possible shots fired in the area on Sunday.
