The video shows the moments of the garbage truck explosion in Chicago

Policepersonnel shows the moment a garbage truck explodes in Arlington Heights, Illinois, injuring three rescue workers.

Arlington Heights Police and Fire department responded to a call about a garbage truck on fire around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024. When they arrived at the scene, the truck exploded, injuring two policemen and a firefighter.

The truck was operated by Groot Waste Management and ran on compressed natural gas. Police believe that one of the compressed natural gas tanks exploded as a result of the incident.

The wreckage and aftermath are also visible on the dashcam footage explosion including significant property damage in the area.
