The police are asking for help in identifying the suspects in the murder | news windsoriteDOTca

Windsor police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a homicide in south-central Windsor.

Just before 7:30 a.m. on October 25, 2024, police were dispatched to a home in the 2400 block of Highland Avenue for a report of an unknown problem.

Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found a dead man in the house. A post-mortem examination confirmed the victim, 69-year-old Reginald John Fricke, died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Since then, Major Crimes investigators have obtained surveillance footage of the two suspects who were in the area in the early morning hours of October 25. The suspects were seen in the 2300 block of Mercer Street, the 400 block of Lance Avenue and the 2400 block of Highland Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a white man with a stocky build. He was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and darker shoes.

The second suspect is described as a white male. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, a black backpack, and black sneakers with white soles.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area to check their dash cams or surveillance footage between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 25 for evidence related to the case.
