20-year-old pleads guilty after high-speed chase spills into train carriage

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A 20-year-old man pleaded guilty after being found with an assault rifle during a high-speed chase.

Johnny Ragsdale, 20, of Jackson, pleaded guilty Thursday to unlawful possession of an assault rifle, according to court records.

Ragsdale was found in possession of an illegal machine gun after attempting to pull over a vehicle in Jackson.

The 20-year-old man resisted officers and led Capitol Police on a high-speed chase.

The chase ended after Ragsdale collided with a train car on Mill Street.

A Glock handgun with a machine gun conversion device, also known as a switch, was recovered from the vehicle.
