YouTube has expressed interest in the ban on AI Deepfakes, announcing the support of a law on forgery that prohibits the distribution of unauthorized AI replicas.

“Nearly two decades of YouTube have been in the foreground of the management management management and we understand the importance of cooperation with partners to actively resolve these issues” said Leslie Miller, Vice -President on YouTube Public Policy. “We are now applying this expertise and commitment to partnership to ensure the responsible deployment of innovative AI tools.”

“We thank the senators (Chris) Kunsu and (Marsha) Blackburn and representatives (Maria) Salazar and (Madeleine) Dean, for their leadership on the law on facts that corresponds to our constant efforts to protect the creators and viewers, and reflects our commitment to the formation of the future, where AI is used.”

The law on fake was introduced into Congress in October 2023. This would allow illegal to share any AI alive or dead without their obvious consent. The law also creates a mechanism of consent so that a person can sanction Ai Deepfakes themselves.

Original legislation was not adopted by Congress because of fears that it would violate freedom of speech but was introduced on Wednesday with more speeds, thanks to support From numerous major players in the technological and entertainment industry, including the mother company YouTube, Google, manufacturer Chatgpt Openai, MPA, RIAA and SAG-Afra.

“We have collected people affected by the consequences and challenges of AI and people who have the right to do something,” said Senator Kun during a press conference that announces the re -introduction of the bill, by Variety.

“When Evildoers actually tries to introduce words into my mouth that I never said that I am going against my moral compass and everything I stand for, that’s where rubber meets the road,” – attached SAG-AFTRRA President Fran Drescher. “It is time to determine what is right and what is wrong.”

This legislation is already needed because several entities have been aimed at Deepfakes AI, which were shared on the Internet. This content is sophisticated enough to deceive most people like it sees incident Last year, where AI-generated image forced Kathy Perry’s mother to believe that she had visited Gala Met.

Since AI becomes only more powerful, it encourages seeing the entertainment and technological industry that is united to prohibit unauthorized Deepfakes ai before they become an uncontrolled problem.
