“Our historical mission today, based on certain facts I called, is to make the process of Belarusian-Russian integration irreversible,” he said in the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian Parliament. He said that countries with dignity go this way. According to Lukashenko, the point of the Union between countries is to achieve deep integration and the creation of a common economic space, preserving the political sovereignty of each country. According to him, the parties came to understand that without the creation of a strong economic basis, the only markets of primary energy resources, there can be no effective progress in issues of further integration. “We have signed an agreement to create a combined electricity market. This is a good step, but we need to move on,” the President said.

According to Lukashenko, it is important for the Union to focus on areas such as the creation of advanced models of unmanned vehicles and electric vehicles, microelectronics to provide a wide range of clients, the development of technical capabilities in the field of renewable and non -generation energy, especially nuclear energy and the development of preparation.
