The man pleads guilty on charges of an accident in which an 8-year-old boy from Blasdell was killed

Buffalo, Ny (WKBW)-Angola’s man found his guilt on numerous accusations of an accident in which an 8-year-old boy from Blasdell was killed in June 2024.

Erie’s district prosecutor’s office stated that 53-year-old Marcus R. Genovese pleaded guilty in Erie’s Court for one second-degree murder, one of the assignment of second-degree cars and one count from the scene of the incident that led to death.

According to the DA office, on June 8, 2024, Genovese led a pickup north on the route 5 in Hamburg, when it crashed into the back end of another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection to make a left turn on an Ekhardt Road. He was traveling under the influence of alcohol or drugs and without a valid license when he crashed. After the disaster, he gave up his vehicle and ran from the scene. It was located in the forest near a short time.

Two children were passengers in a vehicle that hit Genovese. Eight -year -old Thomas Ross from Blasdellwho was sitting in the back seat from the driver, died in a disaster. The four -year -old one sat in the back seat by the passenger was injured and delivered to the Oyshey Children’s Hospital, where he was treated for injuries and released.

Genovene is planned to be sentenced on May 12. He is threatened with a maximum of 15 years of imprisonment and remains without bail.
