39 -year -old Kevin Wilson was arrested in July 2024 and charged with a criminal complaint of attempting to attract and coercion of a minor.

According to the court’s documents, on July 20, the social media user posted a public message in the Facebook group looking for a tutor for the child. On the day of the post, a man who presents herself, but later identified as Wilson, applied and instructed a poster to contact her “husband”, Wilson, according to a text message, reported investigators.

The poster contacted Wilson and had a short text conversation. The poster said she was looking for help in a tutoring for a 11-year-old child. Wilson sent a photo and asked for a photo of the child. Later, the poster contacted the Sheriff’s office of St. John’s County about interaction.

On July 24, a detective under a cover, which was a guardian of a 12-year-old woman “Child”, addressed Wilson about tutoring services. After the detective undercover the conversation, investigators stated that Wilson began to discuss sexual topics related to the “child” and meet with a “child” to perform sexual acts with a “child”.

Wilson also talked with detectives under cover depicting a 12-year-old child through a phone and a text message. Wilson and the detective under the cover depicting the guardian of the “child”, ultimately agreed to meet in a predetermined place, so that Wilson would join sexual acts with a “child”, – the investigators said. Wilson went to a predefined meeting place of that evening and was arrested.

Wilson faces 10 years before life in a federal prison. The date of the sentence has not yet been set.

The case was investigated by the Sheriff’s District -John’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Jacksonville.
