The 36-year-old British tourist raped at Delhi’s Friend Instagram Hotel | The latest news of India

The 36-year-old National Britain allegedly suffered a sexual attack by a man whom she met on an Instagram at a hotel in Mapialpur Delhi, where an employee also allegedly mocked her during the trials, police said on Thursday, referring to a woman’s complaint.

The Delhi police arrested both men, causing accusations of rape and ill -treatment of Bharati Nayya Sanhita.

The Deputy Police Commissioner (South -Western) Surendra Chadhari confirmed that the incident happened but refrained from the exchange more details.

The senior police officer stated that the defendants were identified as 26 -year -old Kailash Gautam, a resident of Garoli Eastern Delhi, and 27 -year -old Mohammed Gulfam, a hotel worker. “The case was registered on her complaint, and the accused was arrested within two hours after reporting the case,” the officer said under the condition of anonymity.

A woman who lives in London with her family said police that she came to India on March 7 and spent four days in a goa with friends. On March 11, she went to Delhi to meet Gautama, whom she knew as “Veer” from her recent friendship on Instagram.

According to her complaint, Gautam took her from the airport, after which they stopped at the Mahipalpur hotel about 11am.

The woman claimed that once in the Gutam room she consumed a considerable amount of alcohol and began to treat her unfairly, despite resistance. She said she had drunk the wine to control her anxiety, after which Gutam allegedly sexually attacked her several times.

When she tried to leave the room, Gautam followed her. The hotel staff at the reception allegedly misinterpreted the situation, believing that the woman was just drunk, and allowed Gutam to accompany her back, police said.

It was then that Vasim, a household employee who sent to the rescue, improperly touched it in the elevator. she shouted at him, forcing him to retreat, the officer said.

Returning to the room, Gutam allegedly attacked her before leaving the hotel around 11pm, reports investigators familiar with the case.

Early the next morning, the woman left the hotel and drove a taxi to the nearest hospital due to severe pain. The hospital, with whom she consulted, reported the police, learning about the attack.

“Vasim was arrested at first, but Gautam was detained after about two hours, when he often changed his location. He may have predicted that a woman would complain, ” – said a police officer who was involved in the investigation.

The officer added that Gautam was unemployed and finished class 12. “He did not know how to speak English with a woman. He used an internet translator to talk to her on Instagram,” the officer said.

Police said they had advice on a woman. Both defendants were released by Delhi and detained.

Officials said the high commission reported the incident, but did not share if it was still in Delhi.
