DNA helps to determine the victim of Monroe District Murder since 1986

Township Ida, Mich. – the remains of a person who were discovered in a wooded area in Aida in 1986.

Huper met with a woman who was reported that her brother – Sean Daniel Brooner – was missing in June 1986. He was believed to be a victim of murder in the case, which was considered in 1990.

In November 2024, the authorities used advanced DNA testing to confirm their personality as a Brouoner. His remains were returned to his family for a memorial service.

The investigation into the killings of Brouoner’s death was closed.
