Pakistana Shehbaz Prime Minister Charif visited Beludzhistan province on Thursday, when dozens of people were rescued from a train stolen by separatist militants, arrived in Quetta after the security forces killed 33 attackers to finish their daily confrontation.

Sharif’s visit came even as a rebel group, the Balokh Liberation Army (Blaw), which claimed responsibility for the attack, denied the military assertion that the confrontation was over, saying that the “battle” was ongoing and still has hostages.

The militants blew up the railway tracks and opened fire on the Jaffar express when he made his way to Peshawar in the province of Hiber-Pachtunc, the capital is rich in Beludzhistan minerals, on Tuesday.

“Sometimes they took the soldiers … and executed them,” he said, referring to passengers from the Pakistani army and other security forces who went on vacation.

The hostages survived only on the water during the time they were carried out, – said Muhammad Tanwere, another passenger.

Reuters video shows showed rescued hostages that receive first aid at the Quetta railway station.

“Terrorists broke the train, breaking the windows, but they mistakenly believed that we were dead,” said the driver of the Amjad train, who plunged on the engine floor for cover when the militants opened fire and lay there for about 27 hours to survive.
