What to know about safety precautions at the Super Cup in New Orleans – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sport

New Orleans (AP) – after the New Year’s Day, the French Quarter was at the heart of the New Orleans, they say they are confident in the safety plans they have in place for the Super Cup.

125,000 visitors are expected to converge at a great lung early February 5 for parties, concerts and hobbies, which are presented by artists, including Post Malone and Diplo and limited collisions on February 9 between Kansas City and Philadelphia Oleks NFL champion this season.

Following the attack on the cliff of the truck in early January 1, which died 14 people and injured dozens of more along the bourbon Street, one of the most famous highways of the city, allegedly safety passes caused numerous lawsuits and investigations. But the city, NFL officials and law enforcement agencies insist that after more than a year of preparation, they are ready to play the owner.

“We go beyond what we saw in the past when we accepted before,” said the mayor of Latoi Cantrell at a press conference. “We know that we are safer than ever before.”

What will the presence of safety look like?

Thousands of state, federal and local law enforcement officers will be on the ground during the Super Cup, said the Chief Security Director of the NFL Katie Lanie. But it and city officials remained close in terms of details.

The drones will be forbidden around the Super Door and the Center for the New Orleans during a week of the game, and a flight restriction will be held up to 18,000 feet (5,486 meters), the Federal Aviation Administration reports.

Armed federal air marshals will be located around city transport centers, which are scanned for suspicious people or measures and guarded from drones, said Noel Curtin, a supervisory air marshal responsible for the transport safety administration.

Super Bowl events will be taken to the neighborhoods far beyond the stadium, a special agent, responsible Eric Delaun, who is a leading federal coordination of the Super Cup, said the internal security of the new Orlean.

Federal agencies from the FBI to the secret service are brought by roofing snipers and armored vehicles around the stadium and throughout the historic French quarter and city center, Delaun said.

No one will be allowed inside the fenced zone surrounding the superbe without credentials, and the city has already started off and restrict traffic on the roads near the stadium where the perimeter will include explosive barriers that require trucks to pass through giant X -ray machine crossings, Delaun said.

Dozens of technicians and more than 100 dogs that are sniffing bombs are involved in days to remove 400,000 square feet (37 161 square meters) to the Super Dodo and each of its more than 70,000 places before the game day, Delaun said.

“They are going from top to bottom on this building to make sure it is clear and it is safe. They open every door, check under each seat,” Delaun said.

Much of the security infrastructure will be transferred to the Mardi GRAS season, which has been updated to the highest ranking of the homeland to obtain more jobs and resources.

With a large number of law enforcement agencies at every corner of the street and safety measures, “New Orleans will be the safest place to be at any point of the country,” said Philip Constantine, an adviser to the US cybersecurity and infrastructure.

As an attack on New Year’s Day changed security plans

Several lawsuits claimed that the city authorities knew about the vulnerability of the bourbon-Street Street to such an attack on rushing of trucks made by Shamud-Din Jabbar, inspired by a group of Islamic state. He drove an F-150 around a police car parked as a makeshift barricade and plowed pedestrians before he crashed and was killed by police.

The Bollard steel columns, installed to block the traffic of vehicles, which was replaced at the entrance to Bourbon Street during the attack, remains on the way to the Super Cup, officials said.

The authorities claim that they have brought more physical barriers to protect the entrance points that arise as a result of concern that the new Bollard system was not strong enough to block the attacks of vehicles.

NFL and federal and city agencies “put a fresh set of eyes” on their plans after this. 1, said Delaun, noting that the police department of the new Orleans hired a former police commissioner New York William Braton and his team from a high-profile Teneo security firm.

“Not specific or reliable threats” are not aimed at focusing on the Super Bowl, said NFL Safety Chief on Wednesday.

Governor Louisiana Jeff Landri announced the creation of a “Extended Security Zone” along the bourbon Street for Bookend Super Bowl Weekend and stated that he was unfolding 350 national guards.

After the authorities found that Jabbar planted icy chests containing invisible improvised explosive devices around the French quarter, Landra announced a ban on coolers and chests on ice in these areas and ordered the mandatory searches -The stroke in the Super Bowl.

But according to state legislation, firearms, including silent hidden guns, will be allowed on Bourbon Street, Louisiana, Louisiana. Katarin Stegall said, noting that they remain forbidden from bars.

Landri also ordered the removal of several stray camps near the stadium and transported dozens of unforgiving people into a temporary shelter for the warehouse.

AI and mobile applications will play the role of safety

The owner of Superdome, ASM Global, has concluded a New York Firm on Dataminr artificial intelligence to monitor the potential and the occurrence of real-time threats.

The company will receive more than 1 million public data in 150 languages, from social media to dark web forums to traffic cameras, Dataminr Crobeli Chief Dataminr Security Director said.

Dataminr uses a generative AI to create monuments that notify the Super District officials of trendy models, such as an influx of publications showing swollen crowds or other public violations when they unfold.

“It will sew all these little puzzle fragments to get a holistic, comprehensive look at the just happened,” Crowley said. “The sooner you know what is happening, the faster you can take the best activities.”

Visitors can also report suspicious measures and receive security updates using Nola Public Security Program.
